One Wednesday night at church where my husband and I volunteer, our beloved Youth Pastor asked the students, “If a movie was made or a book written of your life, what would it be called?” In small groups, my Senior girls and I giggled as we shared the titles of our imaginary books and movies. When it came my turn to share, it was simple – “Life of a Totten Wife.” – and so this blog was created…
I am a devoted wife and follower of Jesus Christ. I love to sing and lead others in worship. I love High School students and being able to mentor them.
My passion for writing began when I was just a little girl in second grade with big awkward glasses taking up the majority of my pudgy adolecent face. I studied Journalism and Graphic Design in college and have my BA in English/Communication from Trinity International University of Deerfield, IL.
When my husband, Jeff, and I decided to make the move to Madison, WI, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to dust off my writing skills (that have been otherwise dormant since 2007) and begin my first blog; mostly to keep in touch with my family and friends, but also to share with the world what makes my heart beat and what calms my soul down. And who knows? I may feel brave enough to post some of the short stories I have written in the past to keep you entertained. 🙂
It’s an honor to share my writing with you.
